Last updated: 2 May 2026. GeoData Converter is built to inspect and convert geospatial files while collecting as little personal data as practical.
We collect account information you provide, such as name, email address, password authentication data, and basic session data needed to keep you signed in. When you use the converter, we store uploaded file metadata, conversion settings, job status, token ledger entries, and temporary source/output files.
Uploaded files and generated outputs are processed only to inspect, convert, validate, and provide downloads. Files are temporary and the product is designed around a 7-day retention window. Do not upload files you do not have the right to process.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We store purchase records, checkout session IDs, token amounts, status, and webhook results so we can grant tokens and handle refunds. We do not store full card numbers.
Optional analytics is disabled until you consent. If accepted, PostHog helps us understand page views, conversion workflow usage, checkout starts, and errors. We intentionally avoid sending file contents, file names, passwords, and payment details to analytics.
Necessary cookies support authentication and security. Analytics storage is used only after consent. You can change consent by clearing the site data in your browser.
We use service providers for hosting, database/storage, authentication infrastructure, payments, and analytics. These providers process data only as needed to run the service.
You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data by emailing support@geodataconverter.no. Some records may be retained where needed for security, accounting, dispute handling, or legal obligations.
We use HTTPS in production, server-side secrets, access-controlled accounts, temporary file retention, and payment webhooks signed by Stripe. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so please keep backup copies of important source files and outputs.
Questions about privacy can be sent to support@geodataconverter.no.
